Day 1: Beijing
Arrive and transfer to the Novotel Peace Hotel (or similar) for 2 nights. Afternoon visit to the Temple of Heaven.
Day 2: Beijing
Morning visit to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, then stroll through historic Liulichang district and the hutongs (narrows streets).
Day 3: Great Wall
Morning drive out of the city to the Great Wall at Jinshanling, a quiet and dramatic section of the wall. And visit the beautiful Summer Palace.
Day 4: Beijing to Xian
Morning high speed train to Xian.
Afternoon Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square with musical fountain show. Overnight in Xi'an at hotel Grand Mecury Xi'an on Renmin Square (or similar) for 2 nights.
Day 5: Terracotta Warriors • Xian
Morning excursion to the Terracotta Warriors
Day 6: Train to Chengdu
Morning high-speed train journey* to Chengdu, then transfer to the Sheraton Lido Chengdu (or similar) for 1 night. Afternoon visit to the Giant Panda Research Base.
Optional evening excursion to enjoy a Sichuan opera performance.
Day 7: Fly to Guilin
Fly to Guilin and overnight at the Sheraton Guilin (or similar) for 2 nights.
Day 8: Longsheng Rice Terraces Day trip
The Longji Rice Terraces—nicknamed the Dragon’s Backbone—are an iconic symbol of Chinese agriculture and one of the most photographed sites in the country.
Day 9: Guilin to Chongqing – Board Cruise
Train journey* to Chongqing, then transfer to the port to board a 3-night cruise to Yichang. (Cruise – Victoria cruises or similar)

Days 10 to 11: Yangtze river cruise
Cruise through the striking Three Gorges section of the Yangtze, an area of towering cliffs and twisting canyons. A range of shore excursions are available, with entertainment provided in the evenings.
Day 12: Yichang • Fly to Shanghai
Disembark this morning in Yichang, then fly to Shanghai for 2 nights. Hotel Grand Central or similar
Day 13: Shanghai
Morning tour of Jade Buddha temple, Yu garden and the historic Bund. Nanjing Road, Photo stop TV tower. Optional evening visit to the state acrobatics show.
Day 14: 11 Departure
