Offering some of the most beautiful and picturesque views of the surroundings mountain landscapes sipping sundowners or enjoying a cup of hot tea or coffee by viewing the Sunset, the Clouds Mountain Lodge lives upto its very name. Located amongst one of the most secluded areas at a height of 2000 meters above the mean sea level Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge has been awarded as one of the highest lodges in Uganda. All guest rooms and the sprawling main lodge has stupendous views of crop-terraced slopes leading toward the silhouette of seven volcanoes. The main area has specially commissioned artwork from Ugandan artists on the walls. Built as a conservation project between the Nkuringo community, the African Wildlife Foundation and the Uganda Safari Company, Clouds’ goal is to support long-term protection of the gorillas.
Location
The lodge is located in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and can be accessed by flight from Entebbe to Kihihi followed by a 2 hour drive.
