Delhi will test incoming domestic flyers for COVID-19

Delhi

If you’re flying into Delhi, be prepared to be swabbed. The Delhi government has decided to test passengers coming into Delhi for COVID. Passengers at Delhi airport will be picked out at random and be allowed to leave after undergoing the test. Those who test positive will have to undergo a mandatory 10-day quarantine at their place of stay or in a government facility.

The Disaster Management Authority will conduct these tests for passengers coming in from states with a high number of cases of COVID. What states these are is not certain yet, but Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat have seen a spike in cases over the past two weeks.
