Raheem Residency in Alleppey is a genuine heritage home situated at an undeveloped Kerala Beach. Built in 1868 and showing both Mughal & colonial influence in its architectural style, it was the home of the Raheem’s for five generations over the last 100 years until the property was bough by the present Irish owners in 2003

 

Accommodation:
• Six A/C spacious high-ceilinged bedrooms with traditional Kerala furniture. • Bathrooms are ensuite and include one, which is open to the skies.
• The property also offers a two-bedroom independent unit in a separate courtyard, refurbished from old outhouses used to store coconuts

General Information & Facilities:
• The Apple Pool, named after the Velvet Apple tree in the courtyard, is a 14.7 metre pool imported from France
• The large hall has a high teakwood ceiling which had been concealed for generations
• The windows have glass shutters inside, wooden shutters outside and fanlights with the original stained glass
• The furniture is rich and traditional
• Ayurveda is practiced in RR house by a qualified team of doctors and technicians
• Yoga - An integrated mind/body system that calms the mind is available morning and evenings
• An elevated space with hammocks and garden furniture for lazing around in
• The Library - a small but ever growing collection of books, mainly of Indian interest eg Indian literature in English, classic Indian texts, travel books
• Chakara Rooftop Seaview Restaurant - Look out at the majestic Arabian Sea from your perch at the top of the spiral staircase

Regular: EURO 90 + 15% tax per double room per night including breakfast
Deluxe: EURO 110 + 15% tax per double room per night including breakfast
