RRDetailed Itinerary
Day 1 Bagdogra-Pelling ( approx 150 kms )
On arrival at the Bagdogra Airport, transfer to Pelling, which is approximately a 5 hours picturesque journey along the Tista Valley that takes you to the Sikkim border at Melli. From Melli the drive continues along the Rangit Valley passing through the towns of Jorethang and Lebship and on to Pelling. On arrival check in at the Hotel / Resort booked for you.
Pelling is the nearest point to Kanchanjunga mountain, third highest peak in the world & thirteen other snow-capped peaks.Pelling is about 133 km away from Siliguri and 125 km from Gangtok and well connected by bus and jeep services. Placid Pelling pulls most of the visitors for its representative status in history, nature and culture of the state.

Day 2 Pelling
Day will be at leisure to enjoy some tourist places in Pelling
Sightseeing Options: Visit the Sangachholing Monastery, Pemayangtse monastery, Palace ruins of Rabdentse, Changey waterfall.

Day 3 Pelling-Yuksom ( approx 40 kms )
After breakfast drive to Yuksom en route visiting Kecheopari Lake and Kanchendzonga waterfall that is located 15 km away from Pelling on the way to Yuksom.
"Yuk" meaning three and "som" meaning a meeting place, where the three holy monks met and consecrated the first king of Sikkim Phuntsog Namgyal in 1641. The Norbugang chorten and the Coronation throne stand mute testimony to this historic event. The king was given the title of Ghogyal. Yuksom is also the point for trekking to the regions of Dzongri and Goecha-la, which lies at the base of Mt. Kanchendzonga.
Evening at leisure. You may wish to stroll in the market.

Day 4 Yuksom-Ravangla (approx 58 kms )
After breakfast depart for Ravangla. Enroute visit the Dubdi Monastery, the oldest monastery of Sikkim. Also visit theTashiding monastery. ( Please note that one has to walk for about 45 minutes from the road to get to the monastery.)
Ravangla, is a small town situated on the ridge between the Meanam and Tendong hills. It is an ideal place for quiet stay to enjoy natural bliss and short treks. Surrounding villages of Yangang, Tinkitam, Kewzing, Barfung & Bakhim are ideal for short stays in the homes of the villagers. Situated in the southern part of Sikkim, a perfect destination for village tourism, flora and fauna, mountains, waterfalls, tea gardens, quaint villages, local Sikkimese people, culture, monasteries and fresh cold winds. Very verdant with monasteries around Rabongla, old historical market of Kewzing, Bonn Monastery, Ralong Monastery, Borong Hot springs, Maenam Peak at 10300 ft holding breathtaking views of Sikkimese Himalayas. For nature ,village tours, caves, rich forests, soft treks, its all there in this zone.
Tashiding literally meaning the "Central Elevated Glory" is the most sacred monastery complex in Sikkim and was described by Guru Rimpoche as the heart of "Beyul Demazong". Built in 1716 AD the complex is also the location of the "Thongwa Tongdol" Chorten. Just a sight of this sacred Stupa is said to wash away one's sins. !

Day 5 Ravangla-Gangtok ( approx 65 kms )
This morning depart for Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. En route visit the Temi tea garden, the only tea estate of Sikkim. On arrival in Gangtok, check in at the hotel booked for you.
Evening will be at leisure Overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 6 In Gangtok
Today the day will be at leisure. You have a choice of visiting the tourist places of Gangtok.
Sightseeing options: Visit Flower show at White hall, Enchey monastery, Government Institute of Cottage Industry, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do-Drul Chorten, Rumtek Monastery.

Day 7 Around Gangtok
After breakfast, proceed for a day trip to Tsangu lake and Nathula (Optional)
Tsangu lake is a typically beautiful mountain lake totally frozen in winter. During other times of the year the cool, placid water of the lake harmonizes with the scenic beauty around which is doubled by its reflection in the lake. Yak rides are also offered at the lake site.

Nathula pass is the major pass connecting Sikkim to the Chinese autonomous region of Tibet. In ancient times the silk route trade between India and China was conducted through this pass. With the recent success in the Indo China border talks this pass has been recognized by both the government of India and China as the official route for conducting future trade between the two Asian giants. However only domestic tourists are allowed to visit the Nathula pass. (The pass is open for visit on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.)
Return back to Gangtok in the evening. Overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.
 
Day 8 Gangtok-Darjeeling (approx 118 kms )
After breakfast, proceed for Darjeeling.
DARJEELING is one of the most magnificent hill resorts in the world. This heavenly retreat is bathed in hues of every shade. The flaming red rhododendrons, the sparkling white magnolias, the miles of undulating hillsides covered with emerald green tea bushes, the exotic forests of silver fir-all under the blanket of a brilliant azure sky dappled with specks of clouds, compellingly confounds Darjeeling as The Queen of Hill Stations the name is derived from the Tibetan word ‘Dorje’ which means the precious stone or ecclesiastical sceptre, which is emblematic of the thunderbolt of Indra, and ‘ling’ - a place, hence the land of the thunderbolt. The sceptre of Indra is believed to have fallen at a place where now stands the Observatory Hill. Straddling a ridge at 2134m and surrounded by a tea plantations, Darjeeling has been a popular hill station since the British established it as an R&R centre for their troops in mid-1800s.

Day 9 In Darjeeling
Early morning depart for a full day sightseeing tour. Visit the Tiger Hill (accessible by jeep only). From here the great Mount Everest is visible on clear days. Also visit the Ghoom monastery. Some of the other sightseeing options are - Lebong village, which has the highest race course in the world, the Mountaineering Institute House of Tensing Norgay and the Botanical Gardens. In the evening visit the tea gardens.
Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 10 Darjeeling – Back home
This morning check out of the hotel and head towards the Bagdogra Airport / Siliguri Railway station to board your flight / train back home
