Day 1 – 30 September 2007 – Mumbai to Beijing
You will be booked on a Cathay Pacific flight to Hong Kong this morning, departing at 0450 hours, arriving at 2000 hours. Upon arrival at Beijing airport, you will be met and escorted to your hotel.
You will be booked at the Beijing Jianguo Garden Hotel or similar for a stay of 4 nights.
This city, with a history of 3000 years, was first named Beijing—which means “northern capital”—during the Ming Dynasty. As the political, administrative and cultural centre in modern China, Beijing has drawn more and more attention from the rest of the world. It is a city of contrast, vast neon-lit avenues coexist with narrow hutongs (alleys) and futuristic structures of titanium and glass cast their shadow over ancient palaces.

Day 2 – 01 October 2007 (B,L,D) - Beijing
After breakfast, this morning you will be taken on a visit to the historic Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world. Then tour the magnificent Imperial Palace and its gardens, also known as the Forbidden City.

After a Chinese Lunch, you will visit Beijing’s splendid Temple of Heaven, which was visited yearly by the emperors who performed intricate rituals to insure a good harvest for the whole nation.Indian Dinner.

Day 3 - 02 October 2007 (B,L,D) - Beijing
This morning after breakfast, You will be taken on a tour of the Great Wall of China (with cable car) one of the world’s most remarkable architectural wonders, built over 2,000 years ago and stretching over 6,000km. You will then be taken down the stone statue-lined Sacred Way to the Ming Tombs, where 13 of the 16 Ming Dynasty emperors are buried. This will be followed by a visit to the Cloisonne Factory (Chinese pottery). (7 hours) You will be taken for a Chinese lunch today.

Day 4 - 03 October 2007 (B,L,D) - Beijing
After breakfast, you will be taken to visit the Imperial Summer Palace this morning. The Summer Palace in Beijing is a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design. The natural landscape of hills and open water is combined with artificial features such as pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges to form a harmonious ensemble of outstanding aesthetic value (4 hours).
After a Chinese lunch, you will be taken to the Yaxiu local market for shopping.

Day 5 - 04 October 2007 (B,L,D)- Beijing to Xian
This morning, you will check out of your hotel. The transfer to the airport will be arranged for you. You will be booked on a flight to Xi'an. MU2106 (0840-1020) On arrival, the transfer to the hotel will be arranged for you. You will be booked at the Hotel Tang Cheng for a stay of 2 nights.
The ancient city of Xian is the capital of Shanxi Province. Once the largest city in the world, the capital of eleven dynasties (from the 11th century B.C. to the 10th century A.D.), Xian was the gateway to the Silk Road.
After a Chinese lunch, you will be taken on a tour of Xian. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, built to house the sutras brought back from India in 652 A.D in the Tang Dynasty by the famous monk Xuan-zang, the Bell Tower and the Ancient City Wall.

Day 6 - 05 October 2007 (B,L,D) – Xi’an
After breakfast this morning, you will be taken to see the incredible 2000-year-old 8,000 life-size Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses protecting the mausoleum of the first emperor in Chinese history—Emperor QinShihuang. (5 hours). You will also visit the Banpo Museum. You will be served a Chinese lunch today.
This evening enjoy a Tang Dynasty Dumpling dinner Show.

Day 7 - 06 October 2007 (B,L,D) – Xi’an to Hangzhou
This morning, you will check out of your hotel. The transfer to the airport will be arranged for you. You will be booked on a flight to Hangzhou. CZ6931 (0900-1100) On arrival, the transfer to the hotel will be arranged for you. You will be booked at the Hotel Hangzhou Best Western for a stay of 1 night.
Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang province and its political, economic and cultural center. With its famous natural beauty and cultural heritages, Hangzhou is one of China's most important tourist venues.
After a Banana Leaf lunch, you will be taken to visit a Tea Farming Plantation (2 hrs). It highlights the ways of drinking tea and shows the diverse tea-related performances in different regions of the world.
This evening you will enjoy the famous Songchen Cultural show, after a Chinese dinner.

Day 8 – 07 October 2007 (B,L,D) – Hangzhou to Shanghai
This morning, after breakfast, you will be taken on a cruise of the scenic West Lake (1 hour). While on the boat you will see the Solitary Hill Island and the Ling Yin Temple.
After Chinese lunch, you will the taken by bus to Shanghai (see countryside, 3-4 hours).
Shanghai is the largest economic, trade and financial centre in the country. Shanghai is also an ideal "shopping paradise", as well as a famous historical and cultural city.
On arrival, you will be booked at the New Century Hotel or similar for a stay of 3 nights.

Day 9 – 08 October 2007 (B,L,D) – Shanghai
After breakfast this morning, join us this morning for a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple, named after its exquisite milk-white jade Buddha brought from Burma in the 19th century. Then continue your tour to the Yu Garden located in the Old Town of Shanghai. Laid out in the 16th century by a Ming official, Yu Garden recreates a beautiful landscape of pagodas, pavilions, rockeries, fountains, ancient trees and precious flowers. Then you will visit the famous Shanghai Museum. As the biggest museum in China with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics, the museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, calligraphy and furniture.
You may some free time for shopping this evening. (on your own)

Day 10 – 09 October 2007 (B,L,D) - Shanghai
This morning, after breakfast, you will be taken to visit the Bund, often referred to as Shanghai's Wall Street, and enjoy a one-hour cruise on the Huangpu River (1 hour). After a Chinese lunch, you will be taken to the famous Nanjing Road for shopping.
This evening, witness a Shanghai Acrobatic Show, after a Chinese dinner.

Day 11 – 10 October 2007 (B) – Shanghai – (HKG) – Mumbai.
After breakfast, take a ride on the Magnetic train to the airport.
You will be booked on a China Eastern / Cathay Pacific flight back to Mumbai, departing at 1000 hours, arriving at 1235 hours in Hong Kong.
